Yesterday, I was watching National Geographic and they showed how women in Pakistan were ill-treated and given no rights at all. There was this woman who was hung upside down by her husband. After which, he used an axed to chop her nose and ears off and used a knife to dig her eyes out (NO. I AM NOT KIDDING HERE). However she survived the attack and managed to bring her husband to court. When the journalist from NG interviewed the husband who was in jail whether did he regret what he did, he said no and that he did it out of his pride and honour. Actually, the real reason behind him attacking his wife was that he thought the wife was having an affair with another man (which is not true), not because of what fucking lame honour and pride.

Her case is sadly, one of the very few cases that were brought to court where her husband was prosecuted and brought to jail. Like I’ve said, women in Pakistan have not rights at all. That’s when you can hardly find any women on the streets and instead, there are plenty of men who have killed their wives that you can find and yes, they are roaming on the streets unpunished. Worse still, women who were attacked or ill treated can’t report to the authorities because they themselves might end up be the ones getting punished instead of the men who did that to them. SO ABSURD. For example, this particular woman who was raped reported to the authorities about the man who raped her. However, because she so-called lacked evidence that the man did that to her, she could be jailed up to 10 years for having adultery. That’s a very serious lame case.

Well, I can say that I am a lucky ass for not being born into Pakistan or any place where there are literally no women rights.
