“It will give us precious extra resources to implement social programmes like Workfare later on. Our aim is to help the lower income groups and the elderly, not to increase their burdens. When we implement the GST increase, it’s not just the GST increase, it’s the package which will fully offset the impact of the GST increase and begin to strengthen the social safety nets and tilt the balance in favour of the low income groups - we will not just raise the GST but we will have a comprehensive offset package,” said Mr Lee.

I think many of you have heard about the 2% increase in GST during the Monday’s Parliament speech or at least have heard it from your folks. Bloody hell man.

But as you know, Singaporeans love to bargin. They are bound to bargin for 1% increase instead of 2% increase. And of course the government would probably say, “Okay, fine. The GST will increase by 1% instead of 2%.” And Singaporeans will go, “Wahhhh, Singapore government so good ah.”

Bleh. I think the government initially just wants to increase by 1% but they know Singaporeans just love to bargin so they say 2%. So when we bargin, they decrease the increase by 1% and make them seems like they’re NICE PEOPLE.

Anyway, Wednesday had dinner at Clementi’s Botak Jones with zhen ‘ai, sharina and eunice. Really nice american food at a reasonable price. And we had a great laugh, especially at eunice’s idea of repelling. HAHA. Laughed till my stomach hurted and cramped. It’s been a while I would say. Eunice is always filled with wacky and weird and laugh-out-loud ideas and hmmm action. HAHA. I remember one particular PE back in sec sch when we were playing either captain’s ball or netball with the boys. And she, being her very enthu-self ran ahead first and kian wee did a backward throw and the ball hit her head. And you can see her head jerk. Lol. The whole class was laughing like mad, with some on the floor, literally and me trying hard to control my pee while laughing my lungs out. A very funny scene if you imagine.

Had touch rugby training yesterday and many many weird things happened. I think it was the jersey! We received our team jersey yesterday. It’s just weird! Oh and I saw Huiling falling on her butt and bouncing off it. lol. Shit man, that must have hurted (I am trying not to laugh right now, but it is quite funny thinking back). And the worst of all was Evangeline who lost $50. Dang.

And shit, the jersey is very fitting, in another word, it’s tight! My TUMMY. OMGGGGGGGGGG. *DIES* It’s sleeveless, and my fair BIG arms. AHHHHHHHH. TIAN AH. Seriously, when was the last time I wore sleeveless clothes? Like in primary sch. OMG. And it was jersey too, basketball jersey. BLEHHHH. I am so dead on 25th when I have to wear it for Oasis Touch. Shiiiiiiiiiitttttttttttt. *Books for a plastic surgeon for a lipo.*
