Money matters. HA.

Filed under: Just Words, Photolog, Rants

YES YES YES.

I ORDERED MY SHOES ALREADY. emoticon

Nah, I didn’t win it in eBay, instead I got the shoes at much better price at Sneakerhead.

Actually I found out that this website was selling this shoes since the release of the shoes, but I didn’t buy because my father had yet to give me my allowance at that time. Then I realised that I could actually get for a better price at eBay (wait you listen…) by bidding because the site was selling at $104.99 USD + $35 USD (for shipping) = $139.99 USD. Bloody hell, that’s $200 over SG dollars.

So I decided to try my luck in eBay but, I failed a couple of times because I had a budget of $200 SGD for this pair of shoes. Plus, the fact that our timezone is different, so I can’t do a last minute bid to outbid the rest because I gotta be in school. -.-”’ So it’s like everytime when I put my maximum bid too early, other eBayers will outbid me at the last minute while I am in school praying that I will win the auction. Hahahahaha.

And yesterday night I was kinda sick of eBay already that I decided to go back to Sneakerhead again to check out the shoes, of which I don’t know what for. And guess what?! The price for the shoes DROPPED. OMFG. OMFG. IT DROPPED TO $89.99. WAHAHAHA.

$89.99 USD + $ 35 USD = $124.99 USD = $ 190 SGD plus.

COOL SHIT.

Anyway, I bought a hoodie from Threadless too. All these online shopping… Bloody hell…

Cutest. And omg, Threadless has new designs again. So pretty. But, enough is enough. Hahaha.

$59.99USD

UPDATE:

MOFOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

There’s this sucker who has a 40% positive feedback because he is a non paying bidder who outbid me and won the auction. What luck man.

So I was outbid once, but I managed to place a higher maximum bid of $90USD (that’s $144SGD! W/O shipping) and so the price was at $76USD. And during the last few minutes of the bidding, this mofo outbid me with his maximum bid. And the price was $91USD. End of story, I didn’t continue to bid anymore.

I am pissed because it’s someone who isn’t gonna pay for what he has won that took away the chance of owing that beautiful shoes from ME!

————————————–

STAY THAT WAYYYYYY…

Okay, so I am praying nobody outbids me and no one bids on this size.

Please please please please please please please please please please please please please please pleaseplease please please please please please pleaseplease please please please please please pleaseplease please please please please please pleaseplease please please please please please pleaseplease please please please please please pleaseplease please please please please please pleaseplease please please please please please pleaseplease please please please please please pleaseplease please please please please please pleaseplease please please please please please pleaseplease please please please please please pleaseplease please please please please please please.

Cool shit!

So have you heard of iPhone? Yea, the authentic product from Apple, not some Osim’s iZap, iSqueeze, iCare and etc.

Introducing to you, the sexy iPhone:

I’ve to admit that it’s kinda big, especially on the height. It’s 115mm long (longer than my iPod!), 11.6mm thick, and 6.1mm wide. Well, the size is kinda a turn off, really but the technology is the real heat.

iPhone features the most revolutionary user interface since the mouse. It’s an entirely new interface based on a large multi-touch display and innovative new software that lets you control everything using only your fingers. So you can glide through albums with Cover Flow, flip through photos and email them with a touch, or zoom in and out on a section of a web page — all by simply using iPhone’s multi-touch display.

Do you think you’ll be getting it for prices like $499 (US) for a 4GB model and $599 (US) for an 8GB model?

Dropping in the US in June 2007, Europe in late 2007, and Asia in 2008.

My sneakers.

I think haven’t blogged about shoes since that SBTG shoes. Not that you can remember anyway. Those who knows me, knows that I am a sneaker freak, a freak especially towards Nike Dunks.

My first dunk was back in Sec 2 bought by my aunty. I knew absolutely nothing about dunks nor did I know about the existence of Nike SB ( SkateBoarding ) at that time. I just loved the simple and neutral colour way until today and that, was the reason why I chose it. And it has served me well right to this very moment while I am typing this, although it seems like the sides are a bit torn already.

My second pair was in Sec 4 when my class and some other classes went for a geography fieldtrip in Perth. Our first stop was this shopping centre with a Nike Factory Outlet. Omg. That’s when I saw this Nike SB that I saw online. I practically mad because the shoes weren’t released in Singapore as far as I know.

Angus. This pair cost me $100AUD on the first day of the trip. Oh well…

Then the third pair was last year, 2006, in case you are still stuck in 2006 and thought “last year” is 2005, after the release of O level results. Yes right after the release of result, that very night when we went for celebration, I bought the shoes because my folks decided to reward me.

This is by far the most expensive pair because the details on it are crafted by laser. I won’t say it’s pretty, but I just like the details on the shoes.

Well, the designs on the shoes are suppose to show the activities of people in a park, hence the name of the shoes is “Urban Park”. Can’t really see it on the picture itself though. Meh :/

The fourth and fifth pair were also bought last year.

Brian Anderson

Purple Pigeon. I love this pair too. Love the suede and the nu buck material.

End of Nike dunks/SB collection here. Nothing of a big deal here and I still haven’t gotten Nike Diamond and Slam City dunks. Those are grails.

I’ve got a pair of Superstar Adidas and Osiris too. I am not a big fan of Adidas sneakers just to say, because it gives me blisters. The Osiris pair is the hardcore skateboarding shoes that really put Nike SBs down when it comes to the aftermath of long term skating in the shoes.

That being said, I am getting my sixth pair soon, hopefully.

Beautiful baby. Clear sole. Double colour stitching.

So anyway, last year, I signed up as a member in a sneaker forum and chatted with this particular sneaker head.

*Conversation written along the lines of the actual convo.*

Him: So when did you start collecting sneakers?

Me: Hmmm… 2003?

(I was thinking that since my first pair was in 2003 so I’ll just say 2003.)

Me:When did you started to collect then?

Him: This year (Which means year 2006). So you must have quite a lot of sneakers.

Me: Nah, not really.

Him: How many?

Me: Well… about 5 pairs?

(That 5 pairs includes the Adidas and Osiris, excluding the Purple Pigeon and Brian Anderson.)

Me: So how many do you have?

Him: 13 pairs.

O_O!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, so I stupidly said that I started collecting sneakers since 2003 when there was actually about 1 year plus interval of the first pair and the second pair. So fking embarrassing please! OMG. And that time I chatted with him was because I was gonna buy that SBTG Asia exclusive Nike SB shoes and maybe can hook him up with it too(but he wasn’t that sure of buying it either). He is in the States and won’t be able to get it for retail price and eBay bidding will prolly kill because of the hype

My love for that shoes was some crazy shit. Until the very day of queuing up to buy it, the flame died. Which wass the ultimate -.-”’. I saw the real shoes on display that day and I realised the horrible quality of them. Seriously, I swear. The shoes were only on display but already had creases on it already. Like what the fuck. So I was like fuck it. I didn’t buy the shoes. You’ll ask how about that guy? Well, he didn’t even send me the money to buy the shoes in the first place, so I didn’t feel obligated in anyway, not like I’ve known him for a long time. Hahahahaha. =X

… and a Happy New Year.

This year’s New Year’s Eve was different from last year’s. Although I still ended up serving people on the eve, but the location wasn’t the same. Last year was at The Coffee Club, a place with horrible attitude customers, this year was at Changi Airport, a place with, definitely, much nicer people which made my New Year’s Eve much more enjoyable.

Swensens before the duty. Damn, I forgot to ask Ai Lin along. Sorry girl (that’s if she is even reading this).

And yes, I’ve learnt my lesson that never ever go to Esplanade on any countdown event when it is already late like 10/11pm plus. Last year, I was rushing to Esplanade to meet the girls (mich, yj, yx, sab, and who else was there, I don’t know) for countdown after I ended my work shift at 11pm. But, shit happens and I underestimated the shit. It was sooooooo crowded, that I can’t squeeze through so I didn’t manage to join the girls for the fireworks and countdown. I ended up watching the fireworks at Cityhall alone and ate Macs at Tiong Bahru with Zhen ‘Ai. How pathetic. *shakes head in disbelieve*

So, when my Sunday darlings (that darling doesn’t include you, Shawn. HAHAHA. I AM JUST JOKING, GOT INCLUDE YOU K. Sorry man, I know I keep suaning you. But you are the only guy who hangs around the girls the most, that’s why. : P ) wanted to go Esplanade, I protested immediately. I am not going to let déjà vu occur man. Gosh. So they decided on Clarke Quay the last minute.

Camwhoring in the toilet after duty while I was on the phone.

We bought booze from 7-11 and sat by the river side to drink and CAMWHORED. Melissa and Shawn bought foam spray and bloody hell, they kept spraying me la, especially Melissa. What’s wrong with you huh? Lol. Anway, as always, sides that have weapons, which in this case is the foam spray, will rage a war against each other. They nearly emptied the cans on each other which spared us from getting the foam bath.

Candid shot: Happy people.

The girls only. Shawn, I am glad you are very clear now that you are a guy. Your Mama will be proud of you. *weeps*

Camwhoring at the river side…

I find this photo seriously hilarious. Firstly, Shawn’s perky butt. Secondly, Mel’s face and the foam on her head. Lol.

It’s snowing in the city… Wait nong nong ah…

Ready, get set…

SPRAYYYYYYYY. WOO HOO. 无聊 (wu liao) people.

Pi jiu mei meaning girls selling beer. Hahahahaha. I’m just kidding. -.-

Last shot. Okay, I think I look constipated here.

Met up with Zhen ‘Ai and Keith and headed to wine bar before the former came and stayed over at my house. When we were on the way out of Clarke Quay, two Aussie came up to us and greeted us HAPPY NEW YEAR. Shook hands and the guy gave Zhen ‘Ai and me a kiss on the forehead. And no, that wasn’t all. They went on saying that in Australia, when we say goodbye, it means, we might never see each other again. That’s we say toodles! And they went on and on… Until the guy took out a videocam and took a video of 3 of us saying TOODLES AARON! repeatedly. After which he gave us another 2 kisses on the forehead. Keith it one time too. Hahahaha. Well, I don’t know if they were drunk or not, but we assumed they were. Hahahahaha. But of course, being a camwhore (I only like to camwhore in a grp k) I took a picture with them.

TOODLES! Lol!

Cheers to the new year.
